Biography
Kelley Menighan Hensley took over the role of savvy businesswoman Emily Stewart on AS THE WORLD TURNS in July 1992. In 2002, she received her first Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress.
Menighan Hensley grew up in Glenview, IL, with her parents, Jim and Suzann, and her sisters, Kathleen and Karoline. She attended Southern Methodist University, where she majored in theater and English and minored in art history. Her additional training in Los Angeles included dance at the Jane Perry Dance Studio and acting with private coaches. Menighan Hensley also worked for Los Angeles producers Michael and Melissa Trikilis, from whom she gained industry knowledge about everything from budgeting to casting.
In addition to doing regional theater, Kelley has appeared in the daytime drama Santa Barbara, on the primetime/ television series, America's Most Wanted, and in the television movie, The Gambler: The Luck of The Draw. Her feature movie credits include Charlie Chaplin, Los Posas Road, and Guns.
Menighan Hensley enjoys collecting antique furniture, quilts and jewelry, as well as working out, cooking and watching old movies. Her birth day is February 15. She and her husband Jon, who plays Holden Snyder on ATWT were married in May 1996 and are parents to daughter Sophie May (b. 12/23/98), son Spencer James (b. 1/31/02) and daughter Georgia Grace (b. 6/28/07).
